Kacey Ainsworth has been asked to return to ‘EastEnders’.
The 47-year-old actress has admitted bosses have reached out to her as they’re keen for her to reprise her role as Maureen ‘Little Mo’ Mitchell, who she portrayed from 2000 until 2006, in the soap but she hasn’t been able to take them up on their offer as she’s been tied up with other projects.
She explained: "It’s not like they haven’t asked. But the thing is, I have so much on the table at the moment that it would actually be quite difficult to find a space. So it’s about timing."
However, the brunette beauty – whose alter-ego was known as one of the Slater clan before she married Billy Mitchell – hasn’t ruled out a return in the future because she thoroughly enjoyed the six years she spent on the show.
She added to the RadioTimes.com: "I look back on my time on EastEnders with real nostalgia. The Slaters made a big impact and it all worked well. So you never say never. It would be a nice thing to do, maybe, I don’t know."
Meanwhile, it seems this could be a good time for Kacey to reprise her timid role as her on-screen sister Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) has just found out she has another son.
Little Mo was also referenced, along with her on-screen sisters, in a recent episode when her on-screen father Charlie Slater (Derek Martin) was sadly laid to rest.
