Justin Timberlake has confirmed he is working on a new album.
The 35-year-old singer has announced on Friday (06.05.16) he will "definitely" be following up his latest solo single ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling!’, following a three-year hiatus, with a full album, although he doesn’t know "exactly" what it will feature.
Speaking to Carson Daly’s morning show on ‘97.1 AMP Radio’ today about his recent release and his future projects, the American heartthrob said: "I don’t know exactly when I’m going to put it out but yeah, I’m definitely working on a new album."
However, the former *NSYNC star – who has a 12-month-old son Silas Randall with his wife Jessica Biel – has teased the South East American sound, which he grew up listening to, has influenced his recent record.
He explained: "I think where I grew up in America has a lot of influence.
"Growing up in Tennessee — very central of the country — Memphis is known as the birthplace of rock and roll, but also the home of the blues, but Nashville’s right down the street so there’s a lot of country music."
The ‘Friends with Benefits’ actor took to Twitter to unveil the exciting news about his return to the music industry earlier today, he wrote: "Friday starts NOWWWW! #CantStopTheFeeling #DreamWorksTrolls (sic)."
The song is classically Justin, with its infectious beat and falsetto chorus and it gives his supporters a chance to hear what kind of music he plans to make for the soundtrack, which he is executive producing, to the upcoming animation film ‘Trolls’. For the film, which is slated for release on November 4, Justin will also be voicing a character named Branch.
Justin admitted Pharrell and producer Chad Hugo inspired him to release a solo album.
Speaking previously he said: "I remember feeling like, I was like, ‘I have to do my own record and I have to go solo’.
"And I knew that when I walked in and I heard that, it was a confirmation that these two guys were the answer to everything that I wanted to do."
