Justin Bieber reportedly feels "lucky" to have rekindled his romance with Selena Gomez.
The 23-year-old singer and the ‘Bad Liar’ hitmaker have recently patched up their relationship since their tumultuous five-year romance came to an end in 2015, and Justin is believed to be intent on showing his beau that he is a "better man" following his string of self-improvements which saw him leave his bad boy ways behind.
A source said: "Justin wants to be a better man because he doesn’t want to screw things up with Selena. He knows he’s lucky to have this second chance and he’s not taking it for granted. And the truth is, this ‘transformation’ hasn’t been all that difficult for him because he wants it."
The ‘Sorry’ hitmaker has changed his priorities since the last time he dated the 25-year-old musician and actress, and his old party lifestyle is no longer "appealing" to him.
The source added: "It’s true that you can’t change someone unless they want it, and he wants it now. He knows what’s at stake. He would way rather spend a quiet night in with Selena than go get wasted and hook up with random girls. That lifestyle just doesn’t appeal to him anymore."
Justin also reportedly credits Selena with helping him get on the right path, as sources say she is "100 percent" the reason the hunk decided to "turn his life around".
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, the insider said: "Selena is 100 percent the reason Justin turned his life around. She’s the one that got him involved with church and that opened up a whole new group of friends to him too."
The news comes after sources claimed Justin’s mother Pattie Mallette thinks Selena is having a "positive influence" on her son’s life.
A source said: "She thinks she’s a positive influence in his life. Justin has been a lot more motivated since they’ve rekindled.
"Justin has a very close relationship with his mother and wouldn’t pursue a relationship with someone that his mom didn’t like."
