Justin Bieber donates $25,000 to American Red Cross

Justin Bieber has donated $25,000 to the American Red Cross in aid of their relief efforts after Hurricane Harvey.
The 23-year-old singer has taken to social media to announce the large contribution he has made to the charity organisation to help those who have been affected by the natural disaster that has hit Texas.
Speaking in a video clip, which was posted on his Instagram page, the ‘Sorry’ hitmaker said: "Just looking at these photos from Hurricane Harvey. I just want to say that I am so sorry to all the families that have lost their homes, people that have lost their lives. I’m going to accept the Kevin Hart challenge and donate $25,000 towards the Red Cross, and I love you guys in Houston. You guys are awesome, you guys are strong. I am so sorry this is happening."
And the Canadian-born musician captioned the emotional post: "LOVE YOU HOUSTON !!! (sic)."
Justin’s post and generous contribution comes shortly after 38-year-old comedian Kevin Hart "lead the charge" by donating a large figure to help the cause, and encouraged other people to "step it up" and assist as well.
The ‘Ride Along’ star previously said: "This is a serious matter. I think the people are in bad shape and they need help. I’m going to lead the charge and step it up in this way."
Fellow singer Pink has also donated a whopping sum half a million dollars to support the cause, whilst actress Kate Hudson, who is the co-founder of athleisure brand Fabletics, has revealed she is giving "100 per cent of net proceeds" made to the organisation.
Alongside a map of the area hit by the terrible storm, which was posted on her photo-sharing site, she wrote: "As we know Hurricane Harvey has been absolutely devastating and the areas affected need as much help in funding as possible. Along with personal donations to multiple organizations, I want to include our @fabletics family and customers in an easy way to help continuing to fund as best we can. Starting today, my company @fabletics will donate 100% of net proceeds from EVERY Leslie outfit (in stores and online) to the @AmericanRedCross for Hurricane Harvey relief. #linkinbio (sic)."
