Julianne Hough and Gabrielle Union to judge America’s Got Talent

Julianne Hough and Gabrielle Union have joined the ‘America’s Got Talent’ judging panel.
Spice Girls singer Mel B and German supermodel Heidi Klum are set to depart the show, with the former ‘Dancing With the Stars’ professional and the ‘Bring It On’ actress taking their places alongside Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel.
And that’s not the only change to the show as Terry Crews, who hosts midseason spin-off ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’, will be taking over presenting duties from Tyra Banks.
Meredith Ahr, President of Alternative and Reality Group at NBC Entertainment said: "One of the many secrets to the success and longevity of America’s Got Talent is its fearless drive to reinvent itself.
"The next evolution of the format brings in fresh expert eyes to join Simon and Howie on the panel.
"Gabrielle and Julianne are two of the most aspirational women in the business, on top of being electric entertainers with talent across disciplines.
"As their partner in crime, host Terry Crews will continue to light up the stage with his quick wit and unending charm."
Both Julianne and Gabrielle are very excited about their new jobs.
Julianne tweeted: "It’s officially official, I could not be more excited to announce I will be a judge on the upcoming season of @agt!!
"The talent on this show is absolutely outstanding, and I have no doubt this next season is going to WOW. Thank you @nbc & my incredible team. Let’s go!!!! #AGT (sic)"
And Gabrielle posted on her own account: "So excited about this!! Let’s gooooo! (sic)"
Programme chiefs are equally delighted with the new-look panel.
Trish Kinane, Fremantle President of Entertainment Programming, said in a statement: "Our millions of longtime viewers have already embraced Terry as the host of ‘AGT: The Champions’, and we are excited to welcome Gabrielle and Julianne to the ‘AGT’ family.
"They are ready to bring a new level of expertise, energy, entertainment and fun to our judging panel."
Season 14 of the talent contest, with its new line-up, will premiere this summer.
