Jourdan Dunn joins E4 comedy Maxxx

Jourdan Dunn has joined the cast of ‘Maxxx’.
The 29-year-old supermodel will be part of writer, director and actor O-T Fagbenle’s upcoming E4 comedy focused on a former boyband star trying to get his music career back in a bid to prove he isn’t a has-been and win over his former flame.
The stellar cast will also feature ‘Upstart Crow’ actress Helen Monks as Maxxx’s cousin/superfan/stalker Rose, while his former manager Don Mild will be played by Fagbenle’s fellow ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ star Christopher Meloni.
Pippa Bennett-Warner and Javone Prince round off the announcement with the news they’ll be playing wannabe manager Tamzin and former bandmate Lucky respectively.
Fagbenle said: "It’s a dream to write and direct for a cast of extraordinary actors from seasoned pro’s like Christopher Meloni and Javone Prince to new acting talent like Alan Asaad and Jourdan Dunn.
"The talent of Helen, Pippa and a wish list of guest stars and cameos have been a gift to Maxxx, I can’t wait for people to see!"
And Fiona McDermott – Head of Comedy at Channel 4 – added: "A show we were already stoked about making has just got stronger. A phenomenal cast, we couldn’t be more excited to be working with them all."
‘Maxxx’ will be directed by Nick Collett and Fagbenle, while Ali Carron will produce with Luti Media – founded by the creator’s younger brother Luti.
So far, the company has already created some iconic music videos for the likes of Beyonce, Rita Ora and Drake, and campaigns for leading brands such as Adidas and Beast By Dre.
‘Maxxx’ will mark the company’s debut in the world of comedy.
