Jorgie Porter likes dating for ‘free meals’

Jorgie Porter likes dating for the "free meals."
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star has spent the past few years in Los Angeles working on her acting skills and has admitted she’d like to get back on the dating scene now she’s returned to the UK – but only because she enjoys going out to nice restaurants.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "I’m not dating at the moment. I like dating, I like free meals, I like being taken out, wearing an outfit.
"I do find myself weird, I’m just a bit cringey so I do enjoy doing those kind of shows. I think it’s cool. Dating shows are fun but I think I go too deep. I go in."
However, the 30-year-old actress hasn’t had much luck recently as she found it hard to bond with men in the US because the majority of them misunderstood her jokes.
She said recently: "I was over there for acting classes. I went back to doing what I love doing – learning, dance classes, working out a lot, acting classes, acting with a lot of Americans which was kind of bizarre, dating American men.
"I did that for revision reasons. Dating American men is different – they don’t get my humour. Maybe nobody does. They got my accent – they liked that."
But it’s not just her sense of humour that’s preventing her from finding love with a hunky American, as her globe-trotting career, in which she travels back and forth to England quite a few times, is also proving an issue for some potential suitors.
She said: "Because I’m across two countries is one of the reasons why I didn’t carry on dating one of the guy. He was in England for ever and that’s what he wanted to do so it’s hard to find a guy that just wants to do what I want to do."
