Jorgie Porter has called for the law to be changed so that dogs can go "anywhere" because she’ll miss her pet while on the road.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star – who played Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap from 2008 to 2016 – has a Brichon Frise Jack Russell-cross called Lady and hates the fact she won’t be able to sleep alongside her pet pooch while she is in the touring production of ‘Fame: The Musical’ this summer, because most hotels don’t allow mutts in their rooms.
Speaking to website The Fountain, she said: "I’ve got a Brichon Frise Jack Russell puppy called Lady and she’s my whole world.
"If she’s not in bed I’m gutted. I’d love to bring her with me on tour but it’s tough finding hotels that are OK with that.
"I think what we need to do in the UK is literally change the rules so that dogs can go anywhere."
The blonde beauty will take on the role of Iris Kelly in the production, which is based on the hit 1980 movie, and she cannot wait to don her ballet shoes again.
She said: "I am so excited to be making my stage debut playing Iris Kelly in ‘Fame’.
"The musical is one of my favourite ever films. I’ve not had a chance to perform ballet for a long time, it’s what I originally trained in – so I’m looking forward to getting my ballet shoes on."
The 30-year-old actress will star alongside Mica Paris, who will play Miss Sherman in the musical, and she is excited about joining the production.
She said: "The movie ‘Fame’ was a big favourite of mine because it really was the first glimpse of what the beginning process of becoming a trained artist entailed."
