Jonathan Ross has joined the judging panel of ‘Roast Battle UK’.
Comedy Central UK have announced the TV presenter will appear alongside Jimmy Carr and Katherine Ryan on the second series of the smash hit stand-up roast show, which will see well-known comedians and fresh faces going head-to-head to poke fun at, or ‘roast’, their opponent, with one contestant being crowned victor by the panel.
Louise Holmes, vice-president of Comedy Central UK, said: "We’re beyond thrilled to have Jonathan joining the stellar team of Jimmy and Katherine as his quick-witted brand of comedy makes him a great fit for the show.
"Jonathan is a hugely loved British star; we know fans of the show will be just as excited as we are."
Jonathan will replace Russell Brand one of the new series, which will span five episodes.
The first series, which aired in January, smashed all previous ratings records and became Comedy Central’s highest-rated UK commission in its history.
As well as appearing on TV, Jonathan is a big cat fan, but in May he revealed one of his mischievous moggies left a "really bad" scratch on his chest after the feline pierced through his pyjamas.
He said: "I currently have a really bad scratch on my chest.
"I have four cats and one of them was sitting on me and started to fall off and to save itself it tried to grab on to me and scratched me all the way down through my pyjamas.
"Big scrapes all down me. I love her dearly so it’s not an issue but it was a bit of a surprise.
"So I’m dealing with that at the moment."
