Jonas Blue plans on tracking down Calvin Harris at the BRIT Awards next month to discuss working together.
The ‘Perfect Strangers’ hitmaker was inspired to get into the music industry because of the 33-year-old superstar DJ and is hoping to bump into him at the annual music ceremony – which he is nominated for two awards at, for British Single and British Artist Video of The Year for ‘Fast Car’ – at London’s The O2 on February 22.
Jonas Blue – whose real name is Guy Robin – told The Sun newspaper: "Calvin Harris is one of my idols so I hope to meet him at the Brits.
"Calvin and I haven’t talked about music yet but I think that may happen soon.
"In terms of similarities we both love to make really deep heartfelt songs on great dance music.
"He’s an amazing songwriter and is writing songs that last a lifetime. For me he is a massive inspiration."
And the 27-year-old hunk might even get to finally talk to former One Direction star Zayn about the track he has, which he thinks would be perfect for the ‘Pillowtalk’ hitmaker, who is also nominated for Best Artist Video Of The Year.
Guy would love to get the 23-year-old singer already has a track in mind, however, he also thinks the hunky star’s former band mate Harry Styles would sound good on the song too.
Asked if he’d like to get a One Direction member – past and present – on a song, he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I think they all have unique voices. I think if anyone … if I think of the tracks I’ve got now, probably Zayn or Harry."
Meanwhile, the songwriter says he is hopeful a collaboration with Katy Perry will happen because the pair spent ages mulling over ideas recently.
He said: "I met her at an event in Los Angeles and we are on the same record label. We had a good old chat, but let’s see."
