John Leslie is in talks for ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The former ‘This Morning’ presenter is said to have held negotiations with Channel 5 bosses about the possibility of appearing on the reality TV show, and the chances of producers signing him up are said to be "promising".
A source said: "Producers for the show are particularly keen on signing John. They have tried previously but they are hopeful they can convince him to sign up.
"He has had a couple of meetings and the signs look promising. They think he would make good TV and would have lots to say."
‘CBB’ bosses are said to be hopeful that the opportunity to return to TV "will be enough" to tempt the former ‘Blue Peter’ host – who was recently cleared of sexual assault – onto the show.
The source added to The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: "They hope the temptation of being back on telly will be enough to convince John to take part."
Last summer, John was said to have been lined up to take part in ‘CBB’, but he dropped out just days before the show’s launch.
A source said at the time: "He got cold feet.
"But he might appear on another series in the future."
Should John sign up to the upcoming series he could live alongside the likes of former ‘Coronation Street’ star Ryan Thomas, TOWIE’s Bobby Norris and ex-‘Love Island’ contestant Gabby Allen in the famous abode after they were all linked to the show.
But Corrie’s Sue Nicholls and ‘Birds of a Feather’ star Linda Robson are both said to have turned down offers to appear on ‘CBB’.
