John Krasinski feels "so blessed" to have a "secure" family with his wife Emily Blunt.
The 39-year-old actor has daughters Hazel, four, and Violet, two, with the actress, and has said that whilst they both had a great year with their careers – with John directing and starring alongside his spouse in ‘A Quiet Place’ – his top priority will always be his family.
He said: "Family comes first no matter what, and that’s non-negotiable. We have been working a lot this year and we feel so blessed, but at the same time our kids come first and being together comes first."
Whilst Emily, 35, added that their "beautiful" brood is the reason why she often makes sure to take "big stretches" between her projects so she can spend plenty of time at home before she heads off to work again.
Speaking to People magazine, she said: "[Family is a] beautiful, secure foundation. Family is the foundation for why we are able to go off and have fun and have these incredible experiences. I try to take big stretches between [projects] to be with the kids. I’m not going to work until next June and finished my last one in September."
Meanwhile, Emily recently claimed she fell in love with John "disarmingly soon", as she wasn’t even looking for love when she met the star, despite getting engaged just 10 months into their romance.
She said: "We were discussing how much I was enjoying being single.
"And then [my friend] goes, ‘Oh, my God, there’s my friend John.’ And that was it. We were engaged within 10 months, but I think we probably knew before that."
John also previously admitted that Emily is way out of his league, saying he "married up" when he tied the knot with the actress.
The former ‘The Office’ alum conceded: "I married up, and don’t I know it."
