Joel Dommett wrote his proposal in his book

Joel Dommett asked his partner Hannah Cooper to marry him by writing it in his book.
The 32-year-old comedian recently admitted he had popped the question to his girlfriend in an adorable Instagram post confirming their engagement, but it has now been revealed he chose an unusual method of asking for her hand in marriage, as he penned the words into the pages of his upcoming book ‘It’s Not Me, It’s Them: Confessions of a Hopeless Modern Romantic’.
The book doesn’t hit shelves until February, but the words "Will you marry me?" have been inked into the final page, following two pages of dedication to his partner of one year.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "He managed to keep it under wraps for weeks – he was so determined to keep it a secret. It’s so romantic and of course Hannah wasn’t expecting it at all.
"You can’t get a better proposal than that – it’s in black and white. It was the perfect way to ask her. And as we can all see from the way he announced the engagement on Instagram – he likes to be different."
The news follows the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ star’s quirky Instagram video which confirmed his engagement, which featured the lock on a toilet door which turns from "Vacant" to "Engaged".
Joel and Hannah met last year after Hannah messaged him on Instagram following his stint in the ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ jungle.
The star previously recalled: "We met on Instagram. She sent me a cat emoji with the heart eyes.
"That is the modern equivalent of the old phrase ‘you had me at hello’, now it’s ‘you had me at cat emoji’.
"It’s so wonderful, we are so happy. She’s very beautiful, I’m a very lucky lad.
"She’s very busy as well, weirdly it works out really well because she works all the time and I work all the time and we never see each other.
"We just kind of find those moments where we both go ‘I’m free then are you free then? We are free then, go go go!’
"I’ve dated people before where they have worked a 9 to 5 or something and it works better than a 9 to 5 because I work in the evenings so it works."
