Warner Bros. are holding a casting call for ‘Pan’.
Director Joe Wright is searching for an aspiring male actor aged 11-13, who is no taller than 5ft 4inches, for the leading role of Peter Pan in the latest re-working of J.M. Barrie’s classic children’s book.
Auditions for the legendary boy who never grows up will be held on February 23 at London’s Wembley Arena and the young hopefuls must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The film will look into the origins of Pan, an orphan who is taken to the magical world of Neverland where he goes into battle against the evil pirates and becomes a hero among the natives.
Garret Hedlund is set to play evil pirate Captain Hook while Hugh Jackman will reportedly be cast as the villainous Captain Blackbeard, while Academy-Award winner Javier Bardem is also tipped for the role.
Wright’s offering will make a drastic change from past adaptations of the Peter Pan story which included ‘Hook’ starring Robin Williams in 1991 and Disney’s 1953 animation classic.
‘PAN’ is set to hit the big-screen in 3D on June 26, 2015.
