Joe Swash will skate in the ‘Dancing on Ice’ final after suffering an ear infection.
The 38-year-old TV presenter arrived home after a day of training on Tuesday (03.03.20) with a bandaged wrapped around his head as a precaution to help battle an ear infection.
But he has now been ruled fit to skate by a doctor ahead of the skating competition’s finale this weekend, and is already back on the ice with his pro figure skating partner Alex Murphy.
An insider told The Sun Online: "Joe has been cleared by a doctor to perform on Sunday.
"He’s fine, but he’s just annoyed about getting an infection and is wearing the bandage as a precaution.
"He’s out on the ice now rehearsing."
Joe surprised partner Stacey Solomon – who he has nine-month-old Rex with – when he arrived back home hours after rehearsals with the bandage on.
She posted on Instagram: "Joe is safe and well and still dancing he just had some sort of ear infection and it looks to me like they’re being precautions."
Joe will go up against Libby Clegg and Mark Hanretty, and Perri Kiely and Vanessa Bauer in the finale.
But Ben Hanlin will not be skating for a chance to lift the trophy.
He narrowly missed out on a place in the final after he and his partner Carlotta Edwards were eliminated from the competition on Sunday (01.03.20) after losing the skate-off to Libby and Mark.
