Joe Swash is keen to have children with girlfriend Stacey Solomon.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star has been dating the 28-year-old ‘Loose Woman’ panellist for two years and the pair both have children from previous relationships, but Joe, 36, feels ready to extend their family.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I see it and it’s lovely and we want to have a family ourselves.
"We’re happy and we just want to stay happy and I think that’s the key to things."
Stacey recently shared a post on Instagram after looking after her sister’s new baby, and told her 831,000 followers she was feeling "so broody."
But ‘The X Factor’ star later played down her feelings, admitting looking after a baby is hard work.
She said: "I’m not going to lie, after I had him the whole entire night I felt less broody. You forget what it’s like getting up four, five times in the night to feed them.
"It’s so, so hard. So tiring. And when you just think ‘I dunno if I can do this right now’.
"We’ve only been together for two years and we just really do like each other so you just want to make it work and not rush into anything."
Stacey is already mother to sons Zachary, nine, and Leighton, five, from previous relationships, while Joe has a 10-year-old son Harry with his ex-fiancee.
But Stacey recently confessed she does want more children.
The ‘Loose Women’ presenter said last month: "I definitely want more children and it does make me broody when I hear people are pregnant or I see people that are pregnant."
Stacey also admitted she talks about marriage to Joe – who she began dating at the end of 2015 – "all the time".
She said: "I joke about wanting to get married all the time. Even if I wasn’t with Joe I still want to have a wedding and wear a dress one day. I don’t think I’d engage in a relationship if I didn’t think it was forever, otherwise what’s the point? So I really hope Joe’s the one. I have been in relationships where I’ve thought they were forever but they weren’t, so you just never know."
