Joe Jonas was ‘envious’ of Nick Jonas going solo

Joe Jonas was "envious" of his brother Nick going solo.
The DNCE singer has opened up about the breakup of the Jonas Brothers – who went their separate ways in 2013 – and revealed at the time he was having therapy and wasn’t speaking to the ‘Jealous’ hitmaker and his brother Kevin.
Answering fans’ questions in a Reddit AMA, he shared: "I was seeing a therapist and I wasn’t on speaking terms with my brothers. And maybe I was a little envious of Nick because I knew that he already had kind of a leg up and had plans to work on music already and he was creating and producing… I closed myself off and we cancelled the tour and didn’t really know what was going on."
It comes after Kevin, 28, said he thinks being related pulled apart the group.
He previously said: "I think we had a different connection just because we were brothers.
"When we were on the road or at home, we were still together, and I think that made us stronger. But at the same time, I think that’s what pulled it apart, which I think is inevitable when you’re working with your family for so long."
Meanwhile, Joe has said he is thankful the current climate within the music industry allowed him to reinvent himself.
He said: "[I wanted to form another band during Jonas Brothers] but the time never seemed right.
"[I’m thankful] we’ve come to a place where you can re-create yourself in the music industry."
