Joe Jonas isn’t worried about being successful.
The ‘Cake By The Ocean’ hitmaker insists him and his band DNCE – which includes Jack Lawless, Cole Whittle and JinJoo Lee – don’t put too much "pressure" on themselves to write hit after hit.
He told Glass magazine: "We don’t put too much pressure on whether something will work or be successful. We’re just four friends who want to play music, and whether is for a week or for the rest of our lives, we’ve decided to let go and just have fun with it."
The 28-year-old singer enjoys working in the studio writing new DNCE music, but doesn’t really seeing it as work as he’s having so much fun.
He said: "I’m kind of taking advantage of this time that I do have at home and working with new songwriters and producers and really kind of developing myself in the studio and really just having a blast. I’m not really 100 per cent sure but if it’s up to me it’ll be sooner than later because I’m really loving the stuff that I’ve been working on and I’m excited for you all to hear it."
And Joe didn’t think music could ever give him a career.
He explained: "I think music – specifically for myself – when I was younger, it was just a joy. I didn’t think of it as a career. It was, ‘Wow, this is really exciting! I get to do this all over the world!’ Now, as I get older, it’s the same joy. I still get to travel the world and see amazing places. It’s much better than anything else I could put my mind to."
