Jodie Comer has been approached by ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ bosses.
The ‘Killing Eve’ actress is a huge fan of the show and was even spotted in the studio audience this year but admitted she would not take part because she is afraid of embarrassing herself.
She told The Sun: "I went with my mum and my nan because my nan is a ‘Strictly’ superfan.
"It was a once in a lifetime for her so it was really fun.
"[Show bosses] were like, ‘Maybe next year, Jodie … ?’ I was like, ‘Mmm, no, I don’t think so!’ I’d embarrass myself, definitely!"
However, Jodie admitted her grandmother was not impressed by watching the show live.
She said: "It was so funny because my nan was like, ‘This camera is in the way, I can’t see a thing!’.
"I think it kind of killed the magic for her. All that stuff annoyed her a little bit."
Meanwhile, Jodie, 25 – who plays killer Villanelle in the BBC’s ‘Killing Eve’ opposite Sandra Oh as MI5 detective Eve Polastri – recently heaped praise on the way the hugely popular crime drama portrayed its more violent moments.
She explained: "What I loved about the violence in ‘Killing Eve’ was that a lot of it was suggested to you; you didn’t see it.
"Some of it was gruesome. There was a lot of humour in it, or artistry. I don’t know if this is the Villanelle in me, defending what she does."
After the first season’s huge success, attention is now turning to a second series, and Jodie has hinted that viewers will find out more about her mysterious character.
She teased: "People’s questions about Villanelle are always: does she have emotions; does she have morals?
"You know, we have these glimpses of her maybe feeling something, but what is it? What is it that we don’t know?
"That’s definitely something that we’ve explored in series two, whether she is battling with her conscience – what’s under there?"
