Jodi Albert has qualified as a yoga teacher.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress has spent 14 weeks studying the ancient form of exercise – a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices which focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing – and she completed the training via Zoom classes.
She wrote on Instagram: "So happy to receive my qualification as a certified Yoga Teacher this morning!!!
14 weeks of studying,10 modules,a dozen wonderful zoom classes and guided asana, pranayama & meditation practices with the most wonderful yogi’s I’ve ever come across.. (sic)"
The 36-year-old star has felt "so grateful" for yoga amid the coronavirus pandemic.
She added: "I’m so grateful for the light it brought me in such a dark time for the world. The foundation it has gave me & the fire it has ignited in me for writing/studying/learning & evolving,I truely cannot put into words.. forever grateful. Namaste (sic)"
Jodi’s former ‘Hollyoaks’ co-stars Sarah Jayne Dunn (Mandy Morgan) and Ali Bastian (Becca Dean) both sent her messages of congratulations.
Sarah wrote: "Yay. knew you would pass (sic)"
Ali posted: "I am so proud of you (sic)"
This comes after Sarah recently admitted she wishes Ali could return to ‘Hollyoaks’, following her 2007 exit.
Asked which character she’d bring back into the show if she had the power, Sarah said: "It would have to be Becca, who was played by Ali Bastian.
"She was one of Mandy’s best friends and I loved their relationship.
"It’d be nice to explore that again but I can’t because she’s dead."
Becca was killed off over 12 years ago after a scuffle with Fran Hathaway (Donna Henry).
Sarah and Ali are still close pals, while the soap star revealed she has a number of "genuine" friendships over the past two decades.
She added: "Ali, Carly Stenson, Jodi Albert and I are really good friends and are always on the phone.
"Carly’s married to Danny Mac, so I see him a lot, and Matt Littler – there are loads of us. I’ve made some genuine friends."
