Former ‘Love Island’ star Joanna Chimonides found it "hard to watch" Michael Griffiths declare his feelings for Amber Gill in last night’s (17.07.19) episode.
The 22-year-old recruitment consultant paused the TV to give her fans an update on how she was feeling via Instagram, and insisted she was showing "respect" for Amber when she got together with Michael in the villa, after he had ditched the 21-year-old beauty therapist.
Speaking on her Instagram Story, she said: "So obviously I’ve had to just pause the TV purely because for me being stand-offish is more me having respect for those in in the villa because someone else is hurting in there.
"It’s hard for me to watch this right now, I’m not gonna lie."
She later added: "That was so hard for me to watch and right now I just don’t have any words. It’s so difficult."
During last night’s ep, Michael did a U-turn on his feelings for Amber, weeks after ditched her for Joanna, who was dumped from the island this week.
He said: "Now Joanna has gone it’s given me time to think about things, and I realise I do like Amber.
"I feel like I need to do myself a favour and let her know."
Speaking to Belle Hassan about Joanna, Michael said: "She was standoffish. It was always me coming to chill with her. That’s what I’m thinking now."
It came shortly after new Bombshell Islander Greg O’Shea took Amber on a date.
Michael apologised to Amber earlier this week after he demanded she "sit down" before a chat and said he was "taking out his frustration" on her.
He said: "When I came over and told you to sit down, it was because you had been wearing heels all night and I didn’t want you to walk anywhere else. I am apologising if it came across in a bad way."
She replied: "I just think you really need to think about the way you speak to me, because it comes across really badly. I knew you before and you never spoke to me in a way that made me feel upset."
