Jimmy Carr has written a song for Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams ahead of their reunion.
The 44-year-old comedian has teamed up the ‘Candy’ hitmaker’s songwriter Guy Chambers – who has also worked with Kylie on her solo tracks – to pen ‘Disco Symphony’ for the pair.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "It’s true, Jimmy co-wrote ‘Disco Symphony’ with Robbie and Guy. As a huge music fan it was a bit of a dream come true for him and great fun. He contributed to the lyrics, and Robbie was really chuffed with the result. The song isn’t part of Rob’s current album campaign but he plans to get it out at some point soon."
Other details on the collaboration are being kept tightly under wraps for the time being but the 42-year-old hunk recently teased, although the song with Kylie won’t feature on his upcoming album ‘Heavy Entertainment Show’, it will more than likely drop in 2017 at some point.
He said: "Me and Kylie have gotten together to do a song called ‘Disco Symphony’. It’s a big disco extravaganza. It’s not on this album that is coming out in the next few months.
"But I have a cunning plan and that song is placed in my back pocket ready to be deployed at the right time […] It’s a cracker and I get to sing with Kylie Minogue again."
This isn’t the first time Robbie has joined forces with the 48-year-old pop star as they last collaborated 16 years ago when they released their classic hit ‘Kids’, which landed in the Top 10 charts around the globe, in 2000.
