Jessica Alba didn’t plan first pregnancy

Jessica Alba’s first pregnancy wasn’t planned.
The 35-year-old actress and her now-husband Cash Warren are proud parents to Honor, eight, and Haven, four, but she has admitted her first-born came unexpected as she fell just months after she started dating the 37-year-old producer.
Speaking to InStyle magazine, she said: "It [the pregnancy] was not planned, but I was like, ‘OK, this is where my life is going. I always wanted to be a mom.’ "
However, although it wasn’t something that wasn’t initially on her agenda, she believes little Honor actually helped turn her life around as she found herself going through a "crisis" just before she realised she was pregnant.
She explained: "My sexuality made me very uncomfortable. I remember my first Maxim shoot, they were telling me to pose a certain way, and I was like, ‘Agh! I’m 19. I’m a virgin. I don’t even know how to do that.’ It was so awkward.
"I sort of went through a life crisis. I was like, ‘This isn’t what I set out to be. I’m so much more than this, but I don’t know how not to be a sex symbol.’ "
The blonde beauty set out to shed her sexy title by setting up her own business, The Honest Company, in 2011.
Jessica launched the brand, which specialises in non-toxic products like nappies, shampoos and cleaning solutions, to ensure her children don’t battle with allergies their whole lives – just like she did when she was growing up.
She said: "I didn’t want my kids to be in the hospital all the time like I was. I made a deal with the universe: If I was able to manifest my dreams, I would try to do good in some way."
The company is now valued at over $1 billion and is ever-growing with new products such as make-up and beauty.
