Jess Wright has signed up for ‘Celebrity Karaoke Club’.
The 34-year-old reality star is set to take part in the upcoming ITV2 celebrity singing competition in a bid to land a record deal, after her music career flopped in 2012.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: "Jess is a really talented singer but her music career has taken a back seat in recent years.
"She took up the offer of joining this new singing show as it’s a great opportunity to show off her vocal range. People often forget Jess is a singer and she thinks this could be the perfect chance to get known again for her voice."
The show will see seven stars battle it out on the mic through a series of rounds, judged by themselves.
They will have to perform in a group, as well as go head-to-head.
Also in the mix to sing their hearts out are ‘The Masked Singer’ host Joel Dommett, TV presenter, Scarlett Moffatt, radio DJs Roman Kemp and Melvin Odoom, ‘Ibiza Weekender’ star David Potts, Loose Women’s Judi Love and comedian Luke Kempner.
A source added: "Stars were really keen to take part – some of them are just amateurs at karaoke, others will really shock viewers with their voices and how good they are."
Meanwhile, Charlotte Crosby was due to sing on the show but it is thought she has been forced to pull out after the government announced a two-week quarantine for those returning from holidays in Spain, after she popped to Ibizia for some sun.
A source said: "Charlotte was booked to appear on ‘Celebrity Karaoke’, the new ITV2 show, which starts filming this week – but now she’s having to quarantine for two weeks when she gets home, she’s had to postpone it."
