Jess Shears says the new ‘Love Island’ contestants should "trust" that the show’s producers "know what you want more than you do".
The 25-year-old reality star and her husband Dom Lever, 28 – who are expecting their first child together – found love on the programme in 2017, and she has told the latest batch of Islanders to put their faith in the programme’s bosses because they have "done a bit of research".
She said: "I’d say to go with your gut, and trust the producers that they’ve actually done a bit of research and they know what you want, more than you do.
"I got a lot of hate for stealing him off Montana."
Dom added: "I would put yourself first and stick to your guns. I think Jess put herself first in the situation that made her choose me."
The couple’s baby is due in September, and Jess has been surprised just how "excited" Dom is about becoming a father.
She explained: "He’s been more excited than I expected him to be.
"I’m a bit of a planner, so I want to find out what we’re having so we can do the nursery."
He added: "I can’t wait. I don’t want to find out the sex, I want it to be like Christmas, ‘Surprise.’
"I went to a baby show and I was amazed. I didn’t want to leave."
But the pair will certainly not be showing their little one footage of them getting hot and steamy in the ‘Love Island’ villa.
Speaking in a joint interview on ‘Lorraine’, Dom said: "I don’t think anyone wants their child to see that."
Jess added: "No kid needs to see their parent like that."
‘Love Island’ will return to ITV2 on Monday (03.06.19).
