Jess Glynne wants to save the oceans

Jess Glynne is on a mission to save the world’s oceans from plastic pollution.
The ‘These Days’ hitmaker has revealed her rider requests on tour and whilst she has a pretty basic list of items she likes to have in her dressing room she will not accept plastic bottles of water because of the damage the containers do to the environment, especially aquatic wildlife.
Discussing her rider requests in an exclusive interview with BANG Showbiz, she said: "I don’t think I do have anything that crazy on my rider … People are sometimes thrown back by the fact that I have glass bottled water but I’m all about saving the ocean and I’m against plastic."
Jess would be lost on the road without her smartphone because she likes to be in constant contact with her friends and family when she is travelling the world to sing to her fans.
She added: "The most important things for me on the road are good food, lots of water and I guess my phone so I can keep in touch with all my family and friends. I’m playing at Albert Hall in Manchester this Sunday for my fans to celebrate Huawei’s latest phone, the Mate 20 lite which is great for gigs."
Jess – who recently released her second album ‘Always In Between’ – loves to perform but she does miss home when she’s away for months on end because she isn’t sleeping in her own bed.
The ‘Take Me Home’ singer said: "My favourite thing about home is my family, my friends and the comfort of my own space and my own bed."
Jess was speaking ahead of performing at the Albert Hall in Manchester on Sunday (23.09.18) to celebrate the Huawei’s newest phone, the Huawei Mate 20 lite.
Fans can go to Consumer.huawei.com/uk/campaign/huawei-jess-glynne/ for their chance to attend the gig and potentially meet Jess.
