Jess and Eve Gale have stolen away Mike Boateng and Callum Jones from their ‘Love Island’ co-stars.
The 20-year-old twins were late additions to the ITV2 reality show, and on Monday (13.01.20) they were tasked with pulling apart two of the couples when they chose which of the boys they’d like to couple up with, leaving two girls single.
And the twins chose 24-year-old police officer Mike, and 23-year-old scaffolder Callum respectively.
Jess, who chose Mike, said of her decision: "It’s not a nice position to be in. You guys are all coupled up. But we’re in here for ourselves, and you’ve kind of got to be selfish in this situation and go with who you want to go with.
"Since I came here, this guy did show some interest and paid me compliments, which I like, and I would be interested to see where it could go.
"So the boy I’d like to couple up with, is Mike."
Whilst Eve, who picked Callum, added: "The boy I’ve chosen I’m excited to get to know a little bit more. I really like his vibe, I like the conversations that I’ve had with him. So the boy I’d like to couple up with, is Callum."
The bombshell shake up has left 25-year-old Shaughna Phillips and 22-year-old Leanne Amaning single and vulnerable.
Moments after the switch, Shaughna received a text which told the islanders there would be a recouping later in the week, and whoever is single after the event will become the first to be dumped from the villa.
‘Love Island’ airs every night on ITV2.
