Jeremy Vine to host Quizmaster on ITV

Jeremy Vine’s ‘Quizmaster’ show will see contestants from the likes of ‘The Chase’ and ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ go head-to-head.
The 54-year-old presenter will host the new style quiz show which will see the biggest brains in the country – who have previously appeared on other game shows, including ‘University Challenge’, ‘Fifteen to One’ and ‘Mastermind’ – put to the test to discover who is the cleverest.
The ‘Eggheads’ host teased: "How clever do you have to be to win a million on ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’? Cleverer than a ‘Mastermind’ Champion?
"Or are the students on ‘University Challenge’ the brainiest? Well, we decided to find out. And you could have cut the tension in the studio with a knife."
The show will mark the BBC Radio 2 broadcaster’s first gig on ITV.
Spun Gold have been commission to produce ‘Quizmaster’, which will air for 90 minutes and feature 15 game show winners and contestants, who will go against one another to be named "Britain’s ultimate quiz competitor".
According to Deadline.com, if the Christmas special proves to be a hit, more episodes could air in the future.
The in-demand host started hosting his own titular Channel 5 show ‘Jeremy Vine’ – formerly known as ‘The Wright Stuff’ – in 2018, which he juggles with his other work commitments, including his news-based Radio 2 show, which airs weekdays at lunchtime.
