Jeremy Renner up for Mission: Impossible return

Jeremy Renner is up for starring in another ‘Mission: Impossible’ movie.
The 45-year-old actor played IMF Field Operations Director William Brandt in the last two films in the franchise, most recently in 2015’s ‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’.
Speculation has been rife that Tom Cruise is to reprise his role as IMF special agent Ethan Hunt for a sixth time and Renner is ready and waiting for the call to start shooting.
When asked if he’s keen to return to the series, he said: "I know they’re talking about coming round again and my answer is always ‘yes’."
Renner is also a regular star in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and plays Hawkeye Clint Barton for a fourth time in new blockbuster ‘Captain America: Civil War’.
But the actor was unhappy with his first major outing as the character in ‘The Avengers’ because he got lost in the mix with the rest of the superhero squad which includes Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth).
However, he was very content with his increased screen time in sequel ‘Age of Ultron’.
In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, he said: "(‘Avengers’) was my first chance getting to play the character and I wasn’t really getting to play him at all. ‘Hi, my name’s Clint – bzzzzzzzzz.’ It was frustrating (being cast under a spell). I don’t even know at that point how the guy walks and talks, ‘cos he got turned into this other dude. Joss (Whedon) was really apologetic. He had an impossible task trying to fit all those characters into one movie. I’m glad I got to find the character next time around … I loved that wonderful, awkward moment with all the superheroes sitting in Clint’s living room in the farmhouse."
