Jennifer Lopez has "tried to grow" in the last few years.
The ‘Shades of Blue’ star says she has been trying to develop herself as a person over the past months and years and feels she is now finally seeing the "fruits of her labour".
Speaking to Jess Cagle for PEOPLE magazine, she said: "I’ve lived my life and tried to grow and tried to get better in the past few years, really markedly made an effort on that and it shows.
"It’s the fruits of your labour of trying to be a good person and trying to do the right thing and continuing to grow as an artist, as a human being. It proves to me that it works, and that’s what I’m going to continue to do."
Meanwhile, the 46-year-old singer and actress previously claimed she gets "better with age".
She explained: "When you first start in this business, you think, ‘This is going to run out’ or ‘It’s going to finish at a certain time’ or ‘If I reach a certain age I won’t be relevant.’
"I have found that I just get better and better with more experience and more life. I have more to give to what I do and that’s what I look forward to when creating this record."
