Jennifer Lawrence says Darren Aronofsky played "hard to get" with her for nine months.
The ‘Hunger Games’ star has confessed she thought the ‘mother!’ director – who she went on to date for two years – was hot when she first laid eyes on him.
She said: "He flew in, pitched me [on Mother], left. The whole thing was probably an hour and a half, and then I was like, he’s hot … I remember I was holding my dog and I shut the door and when the door shut I went, ‘Pippy that’s called sexual tension.’ He played hard to get for like nine months, maybe longer, which just killed me."
And the 27-year-old actress admits she "still loves" Darren "very much".
Speaking on Marc Maron’s podcast, she added: "I mean, if we count everything, like two years. I had been saying two years for so long and he was like, ‘It’s been like, six months!’ I think two years. I mean, I was in love with him for like, two years. I still love him very much."
Meanwhile, Jennifer previously admitted she thinks she is going to be "devastatingly lonely" in the next few months as she is now in "single mode".
She said: "I am in the single mode where I am like, ‘Cool, I can do whatever I want and I can be alone and watch terrible TV.’ And then, of course, in a few months I will be devastatingly lonely and feel like I’m on some long waiting list. But I am not there yet.
"People think my life must be different but it’s actually pretty normal. I’ve always been a homebody and my social life has always been very boring. I sit around outside my house with my friends and drink wine, and that hasn’t really changed. I don’t like to go out."
