Jennifer Lawrence says Amy Schumer’s wedding was "beautiful" but "very sudden".
The ‘Hunger Games’ star was with her good friend when she tied the knot to chef Chris Fischer in Malibu earlier this week and admitted she was "sobbing" the whole way through the ceremony.
She told Entertainment Tonight: "It was beautiful. It was very sudden, but it was, I was sobbing the whole – his vows were stunning. It’s when two people really love each other and they really mean it, it shows, and it was a beautiful ceremony and an amazing time. I couldn’t be happier for them."
Amy confirmed her wedding in a sweet Instagram post of pictures of the big day, captioning them with the word "yup".
The ‘Trainwreck’ star has been romantically linked to Chris since November but she only confirmed her romance with him earlier this month when she shared a photo of herself and Chris kissing in a photo booth at friend Ellen DeGeneres’ 60th birthday party.
She captioned the photo: "Happy Birthday @theellenshow thank you for having us! (sic)"
The 36-year-old star had previously dated furniture designer Ben Hanisch for 18 months until last May but the pair vowed to remain friends following their split.
Confirming their break up at the time, Amy’s representative said: "Amy and Ben have ended their relationship after thoughtful consideration and remain friends."
Amy had praised Ben for being so "protective" of her.
Speaking about Ben, she said previously: "He’s very protective of me. Like, not overprotective, but if someone’s taking pictures of me or filming in a restaurant, he’ll start taking pictures of them. He’s really cool; it’s not a problem to be around any of the sorts of people who are at these events. He takes it all in his stride. But when I say, ‘Shall we get out of here?,’ he’s like, ‘Yes!’ … I’m so lucky that I met him. And he hadn’t seen any of my work before we met."
