Jennifer Aniston found it difficult to sell her home.
The ‘Horrible Bosses’ star and her husband Justin Theroux purchased a new home together in Bel Air in 2012 and have been working on perfecting it and her long time interior designer Stephen Shadley thinks it was a tough decision to make.
Shadley said: "It was about the time that she and Justin got together. And I think it was just like, let’s try and look for something together. She loved the first house so much. She was conflicted about selling it, but wanted to move on in her life. She was ready to turn the page – new home, new life with Justin. They chose this house as a couple … I think it’s too seductive to move on. And someone like Jen and Justin who love the process of doing this kind of work – I think, you know, you’re intrigued to do it again."
And Jennifer admits struggled to let Justin help design their home.
Jennifer added to Architectural Digest: "Justin definitely wanted to be involved, so there was a bit of a learning curve for me on how to include another voice in the design process. For instance, I figured out that immediately saying ‘No!’ to any suggestion is not the most collaborative move."
Meanwhile, a source previously revealed Jennifer and Justin’s time away from each other has helped their relationship grow stronger.
They said: "They have figured out a life that works for them. Her life with Justin is great … This has not hurt their marriage at all, it seems to help. They love and respect each other and do spend a lot of time apart. For them, it is a healthy part of their romance … Justin often spends a few days in NYC by himself. When he is in NYC, Jen will catch up with friends and enjoys her own life. When Justin is in LA, it’s very special for them. They socialise together with friends. They often go out to dinner or have people over. They both seem very happy. By not spending every minute together, it’s like their honeymoon is lasting longer."
