Jenna Coleman is set to make a guest appearance in the fifth series of ‘Inside No. 9’.
Creators Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton have signed up a number of big names to appear in the next six episodes of their comedy anthology series, and as well as the ‘Victoria’ actress, the likes of ‘Silk’ star Maxine Peake, ‘The Missing’ actor David Morrissey, ‘The Royle Family’ actor Ralf Little, ‘Vera Drake’s Phil Davis and ‘In The Club’ actress Jill Halpenny have also agreed to appear in the cult show.
In a statement, Reece and Steve said: "We’re delighted to announce a guest cast brimming with both emerging and established talent, all judiciously chosen to make us look a bit classier by association."
‘Chewing Gum’s Kadiff Kirwan, ‘Coronation Street’ actress Debbie Rush and stage star Ioanna Kimbook will also make an appearance in the show show.
BBC bosses are delighted the series is returning again.
BBC Comedy Commissioning Controller, Shane Allen said: "Reece and Steve consistently dazzle and delight with what is undoubtedly the most inventively prolific storytelling series on television. Their ability to subvert and surprise makes each show a unique experience for the viewers. It’s the antidote to a world of familiar cosy TV formats."
Steve will step into the director’s chair for one episode in the series, his first time since taking the helm of ‘Cold Comfort’ and ‘Nana’s Party’ from the 2015 run of episodes.
Another past director, Guillen Morales, will take the reins on three of the episodes, and the remaining two will be directed by ‘Psychoville’s Matt Lipsey.
