Jemma Donovan would find it "weird" working with her dad.
The ‘Neighbours’ actress – whose father Jason Donovan famously played Scott Robinson on the Australian soap – admitted while it would be "fun being on the same set", she isn’t sure how much she’d actually enjoy sharing the screen with him.
She told Inside Soap magazine: "It would be fun being on the same set with him, but also quite scary.
"I’m not sure if I’d be too keen on that. It would be weird working with my dad!
"I think viewers would adore seeing Scott back on Ramsay Street – but I’m not too sure of the likelihood of it."
Jemma followed in her father’s footsteps last year when she joined the cast, and in February Jason – who appeared on the show for three years until his exit in 1989 – visited her on set.
However, the 20-year-old star has explained she is keen to earn her own plaudits rather than relying on the Donovan name.
She recently said: "I love that people associate us together, but I want to show people I’m not just on ‘Neighbours’ for my last name.
"I need to prove to people that I can do this. That was also great because it gave me a lot of drive."
And Jason – who was involved in a famous storyline when he married Charlene Mitchell, played by Kylie Minogue – previously insisted a soap comeback isn’t really on the cards.
Scott and Charlene’s wedding, which aired in the UK in 1988, was watched by 20 million viewers – and he thinks the "publicity" would overshadow the story.
The 51-year-old actor explained: "It doesn’t feel like something I need to do. I have absolute respect for the show and what it’s given me, but the problem with going back would be that the publicity becomes bigger than the moment."
