Jay Z is reportedly making his own version of Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’.
The couple recently found their marriage under scrutiny when lyrics from the ‘Crazy in Love’ singer’s new record appeared to suggest her husband of eight years – with whom she has four-year-old daughter Blue Ivy – had cheated on her, but they have worked through their problems.
And though neither of them have directly addressed the claims, the 46-year-old rapper is said to be planning to make a record of his own which will chronicle his side of the story.
A source said: "Jay is working on an album telling his side of things."
In one hard-hitting clip on Beyoncé’s visual LP – which debuted on HBO – a couple were seen cuddling up to one another, as the brunette beauty sings: "Looking at my watch he should have been home. I regret the day I put that ring on."
And to add even more fuel to the fire, the curvaceous star belted out the lyrics: "This is your final warning, You know I give you life, If you try this s**t again, You gon’ lose your wife"
A source close to the couple insisted the album – which was split into themes starting with with Intuition, Denial, Anger, Apathy, Emptiness and ended on Forgiveness, Hope and Redemption – "says it all" and retells how they recovered from a difficult patch in their marriage.
They told Us Weekly: "The album says it all. It explains how she and Jay got through their problems. The good outweighed the bad, so she gave him a second chance."
And some believe that Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ is directly linked to an incident that took place in an elevator at a Met Gala afterparty in 2014, where her younger sister Solange, 29, appeared to kick Jay Z , reportedly because she found out he had cheated on her sibling.
