Jay McGuiness thinks some celebs put on fake personas on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 29-year-old singer – who won the BBC show back in 2015 – has admitted that there’s plenty of behind-the-scenes drama on the programme.
He shared: "Loads more happens on ‘Strictly’ than is reported, and nearly everything that is reported is not exactly what happened.
"I’m not going to give out personal secrets but people have dark days and nine times out of ten, the crew and everyone lets it happen and it goes under the radar."
Jay also insisted the unreported drama doesn’t always relate to the so-called ‘Strictly’ curse.
He told The Sun Online: "I can see how when I say that a bunch of people will be like: ‘Everyone’s s***ging! Everyone’s f***ing everyone!’
"But really, most of the stuff is when people are really struggling, or when people are really angry and upset and they try to let everyone have their minute.
"There’s a really high tension situation; we had some real wild characters and then when the camera comes on they pull it together and they’re like: ‘Please vote for us’.
"I’m not going to reveal who, but also some people were really relaxed and when the camera came on they were really zany, and all that sort of stuff."
Despite this, Jay – who was partnered with Aliona Vilani on the show – remains a huge fan of ‘Strictly’.
He said: "I think it’s a brilliant show, I watch it every single year but now I watch it and think: ‘Who knows what’s going on?’"
