Jason Momoa wants Aquaman fans to show patience

Jason Momoa has urged Aquaman fans to show patience with his character.
The 38-year-old actor starred as the fictional superhero in 2016’s ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and as he prepares to reprise the role in ‘Justice League’, Jason has told fans there’s much more to come from his character.
Jason – who will also appear in a standalone Aquaman movie in 2018 – explained: "I want people to know in a year, you’re going to understand where he came from, what happened to his mother, what happened to his father, and how he was treated in this world and how he didn’t know how to use his powers.
"Sometimes he saved people and sometimes he lost people, and his human side didn’t know how to cope with those things, to cover up those things. So you know there’s a lot of layers to this guy.
"And I think once we do get to the solo films, you get to see the man who is going to take responsibility and help the world and become a king, eventually."
In the meantime, he has urged comic book fans to remain patient with him.
He told Den of Geek: "A lot of people are like, ‘That’s not my Aquaman!’ Just wait a little bit longer. Just stick with it for a little bit longer."
Jason also credited filmmaker Zack Snyder for masterminding his interpretation of the character.
He explained: "It all sort of came from Zack’s mind. Aquaman wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him."
