Jason Derulo owns 1,000 pairs of shoes.
The 26-year-old singer has admitted he is a "sneaker-head" and although he never wears the same pair very often, he is obsessive about what he puts on his feet.
He said: "I’ve always been a sneaker-head," adding that he has, "like, a thousand [pairs], maybe? I don’t wear shoes that many times. And I just love all kinds of shoes."
Jason is launching his own shoe line with LVL XIII in collaboration with designer Antonio Brown, meaning he will be giving most of his impressively-large collection away.
He told People: "I’m gonna be wearing LVL XIII, like, up the wazoo, so all the other brands that I have, I’m not gonna be wearing them anymore, so I’m gonna give them all away."
Jason said the collaboration marked the realisation of a long-held ambition.
He shared: "I always really wanted to have my own line, be able to utilise all the ideas and knowledge that I’ve garnered over the years. This was a perfect opportunity because I was a fan of what Antonio has done in the past.
"Now we get to take both of our heads and put ’em together and create something I believe will change the face of footwear forever."
Meanwhile, Jason revealed recently that he wrote Daphne Joy a song to explain their relationship break-up.
Jason, who initiated the break-up, said: "There’s one that I did that talks about it pretty spot-on. I actually sent it to her, too. A lot of times, she’s like, ‘You don’t speak to me. You’re not talking to me. I don’t get it.’ So I wrote it in a song, and she was like, ‘It’s clearer now.’
"It’s crazy how that is. Sometimes we’re better at certain things. Where somebody may be a better talker than me, through a song, I’m able to explain anything."
