Jared Leto wants The Joker to go ‘head-to-head’ with Ben Affleck’s Batman

Jared Leto wants The Joker and Ben Affleck’s Batman to go "head-to-head".
The 44-year-old actor, who has been cast as the super villain in ‘Suicide Squad’, enjoys playing the mischievous character and is hoping he can make a cameo in Ben Affleck’s forthcoming solo movie to take on Batman one more time.
Speaking to the Toronto Sun about his hopes for his character’s future, he said: "I hope it’s an introduction [of the Joker] … and not the end! Because I could easily just play the Joker a couple more times and then retire. Because it’s so fulfilling and so creative and it’s so imaginative. It’s really difficult to think about doing anything else!
"I think it would be incredible to see Batman and the Joker go head-to-head! This Batman and this Joker. I mean, I don’t know, that might be too much! But that would be fun."
And the heartthrob would like to return for a ‘Suicide Squad’ sequel because he doesn’t think his character features enough in the fantasy crime thriller, which sees him star alongside Margot Robbie, Will Smith and Cara Delevingne.
He explained: "If people like [‘Suicide Squad’] enough. But, you know, the Joker’s not officially in the Suicide Squad, so they could make another ‘Suicide Squad’ movie and have somebody else (as the wild card villain).
"And I would be sad not to be part of the fun."
Meanwhile, Leto has revealed he "laughed out loud" at random people in the streets to prepare for his role and perfect the character’s iconic laugh in the hotly anticipated film.
Speaking previously, he said: "There was a lot of experimentation. I remember wandering the streets of New York and in Toronto where we were shooting, and I would just laugh out loud and see how people would react to it. Every time when I started to hone in on this laugh, I realised it was the one that really, people would turn around and be like, ‘What the hell is that?’"
