‘Loose Women’ panellist Janet Street-Porter is guest starring in ‘Neighbours’.
The 72-year-old broadcaster is playing herself on the long-running Australian soap opera – which is aired on Channel 5 in the UK – and she can’t wait for viewers to see her on Ramsay Street.
Revealing her appearance on the ITV daytime talk show on Wednesday (30.01.19), she said: "When I was in Australia I flew to Melbourne and I have a role in ‘Neighbours’! I get to play myself, I have more than one line. I’m not allowed to say any more, we are keeping it very, very secret. I spent the whole day on the sent. I went all round the set."
Before shooting her scenes, Janet was given a tour of the Erinsborough set by actor Stefan Dennis – who plays long term resident Paul Robinson.
She added: "Stefan showed me round. I had to do my lines, I smiled so much my face was aching."
Janet will be seen in the soap in an episode that will air on April 19.
Her ‘Neighbours’ cameo is part of Loose Women’s ’20 before 20′ challenge, which sees members of the panel ticking off items on their ‘wish list’ before the show celebrates its 20th anniversary this September.
