Janet Jackson rumoured to be readying new LP

Janet Jackson is rumoured to be releasing a new LP this summer.

The ‘Love Will Never Do’ singer recently moved record labels to Atlantic Records and according to a list of release dates sent out by the label, Janet, 48, is expected to drop new music on 10 July.

Janet’s fan forum on website Stereogum, says pre-orders will be available by 7 July.

The forum Janet.Club.com posted a photo of an album box with "reserve your copy today" written on it, in what looks like a record store.

The Twitter post accompanying the photo read: " @harmonicait …Call the FYE in BKLYN and ask if Janet is in their release sched. They say yes. From the store… (sic)"

Neither Janet – the sister of Michael Jackson – or her label representatives have confirmed the release date of the untitled LP or addressed the rumours.

However, sources including Gigwise and Stereogum

have asked major music retailers who have confirmed she is on their future releases list.

This will be the R&B singer’s 11th studio LP and her first since 2008’s ‘Discipline’, which was released on Island Records.
