Janet Jackson has rebuilt her relationship with her ex Jermaine Dupri.
The ‘Together Again’ singer underwent a difficult split from husband Wissam Al Mana – with whom she has 10-month-old son Eissa Al Mana – in April this year, and has turned to the hip-hop star for comfort and support.
A source told E! News that she and Jermaine are, "consistently in contact," and are, "getting close again."
Janet, 51, and Jermaine, 45, dated for seven years until their split in 2009.
The ‘Unbreakable’ star is currently on tour with Eissa – who was born just four months before her split from businessman Wissam – and sources claim due to her busy life she and Jermaine are keeping things casual.
Another insider said: "Janet is single. She is good friends with Jermaine. They share a very close and beautiful bond. He’s been there for her and she loves that about him. Anything can happen in the future but right now she has a lot on her plate."
There has been speculation circulating that the couple had rekindled their romance for several months now due to their close contact.
The source added: "She is doing great and feeling great on her tour. Her baby is by her side as much as she can allow it. She has people helping her out. She looks great and is always so grateful to everyone that helps her and works with her. She is very pleased how everything is going on tour."
Meanwhile, Janet is said to be seeking full custody of her son, after her brother Randy accused Wissam of being verbally abusive to her during their relationship.
A source said in September: That [news of] verbal abuse allegations months after their separation and impending divorce are shocking, but not surprising.
"Janet is great at managing her business and career, but she is not as smart when it comes to affairs of the heart."
