Jane Danson plans to continue skating despite being eliminated from ‘Dancing on Ice.’
The 40-year-old actress and her professional partner Sylvain Longchambon were voted off the competition on Sunday (17.02.19) and now the ‘Coronation Street’ star is looking forward to getting back on the ice to have "fun" rather than worry about the pressure of the show.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Monday (18.02.19), she said: "I will miss [skating]. I will miss it, but I am looking forward to going for fun and doing things at my own pace and not having that pressure of the performance and all the process and the nerves of the show.
"I’m sad to be gone but I think it was the right time."
Earlier in the series, Jane fainted during rehearsals for the show and admitted her medical emergency happened on a day when she was already feeling "quite emotional" because it was the anniversary of her father’s death.
She explained: "I think it was a combination of quite a few things on that particular day. I arrived at the studio slightly later than normal for various reasons, we didn’t have much chance to warm up, I was severely dehydrated and just to sort of add insult to injury it was the anniversary of my dad’s death that day so I was feeling quite emotional.
"I think it was compounded by exhaustion, I was emotional, I’d not drunk enough, probably not eaten enough as I maybe should have done. It was a tough day, it was a really tough day. Sharon the medical physio – Sharon she’s the glue that holds it all together. Her and Maxine really helped me."
As well as Jane and Sylvain, Ryan Sidebottom and his partner Brandee Malto also left the competition on Sunday in a double eviction.
