Jamie Lomas hints at Hollyoaks exit after latest comeback

Jamie Lomas has already hinted at his ‘Hollyoaks’ exit.
The 44-year-old actor – who has played Warren Fox on and off since first appearing in 2006 – recently returned after stepping away for a third time in 2018, but he admitted his latest comeback isn’t a permanent one.
Asked about the timeframe during an interview on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, he said: "I’m back for a year. I came back for the 25th anniversary, and knowing ‘Hollyoaks’, I’m sure they’ll do something amazing.
"They will do something spectacular, I’m sure of that. 25 years is such an achievement, and I’m very proud and honoured to be a part of that."
Jamie also teased the involvement newcomer Richard Blackwood – who is playing Felix Westwood – will have on Warren’s upcoming storyline.
He added: "[Warren] just doesn’t know how to behave, really. He justifies his actions in his own head and does what he needs to do to survive.
"He was brought up in a children’s home, which we’ll really delve into in the coming month. So he has to do what he has to do to survive.
"We’ve got Richard Blackwood, who has just come in. He’s going to be a great addition to the show, and he was part of Warren’s history growing up in the children’s home.
"We’re going to really delve into that and find out why Warren is the way he is. I think fans will love it, and it will be really interesting."
Although Jamie isn’t currently being lined up for a longer return, he won’t rule it out after some promising conversations with the Channel 4 soap’s boss Bryan Kirkwood.
He recently said: "I spoke to Bryan Kirkwood last week and he said they’ve got so many storylines that they want to do with Warren. I’m really happy here at the moment.
"I’m surrounded by great people and the show’s in a really good place. As long as I’m happy and they write for me, I’ll continue to work."
