Jamie Lomas feels "very fortunate" that his ‘Hollyoaks’ character was created.
The 44-year-old star has been playing Warren Fox on and off since 2016, and following his latest return to the Channel 4 soap he has thanked executive producer Bryan Kirkwood for creating his alter-ego 14 years ago.
He said: "It’s fantastic to be back it’s always great to come back to ‘Hollyoaks’ and see my friends. The cast and crew are such amazing people.
"I’ve been here a long time on and off, and we are a family here and the people are just great.
"It’s always amazing to put the mask back on with Warren Fox and come and cause trouble.
"The writers here are amazing they write fantastically well for Warren Fox and they’re never short of stories and I’m very lucky and very fortunate that Bryan created a character like Warren Fox, and I get the opportunity to play him."
And while Jamie has made numerous exits from the village, he recently confirmed he will be sticking around on ‘Hollyoaks’ for at least a year.
He said: "I’ve signed for a year, so we’ll see what happens after that."
Jamie has also hinted he could even be back for more than a year after some encouraging conversations with Bryan.
He said: "I spoke to Bryan Kirkwood last week and he said they’ve got so many storylines that they want to do with Warren.
"I’m really happy here at the moment.
"I’m surrounded by great people and the show’s in a really good place. As long as I’m happy and they write for me, I’ll continue to work."
