Jamie Dornan’s friends haven’t seen 50 Shades

Jamie Dornan says none of his male friends have seen him in ’50 Shades of Grey’.
The 34-year-old actor plays billionaire sadomasochist Christian Grey opposite Dakota Johnson as his lover Anastasia Steele in the erotic movie.
Dornan has a close group of pals from back home in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but they have so far avoided seeing him get his clothes off in the film and he agrees with their decision because he would do the same if they were stripping off on screen.
He said: "I’m just thinking about some of my mates here and I would never want to go to see them in that movie! It would be no different. Why would they want to see me like that? None of them have seen it. I think a couple came to the premiere in London actually but with wives and girlfriends."
Dornan will reprise the role in two more movies with the next instalment being ‘Fifty Shades Darker’, and the franchise has made him a global star.
The big screen hunk believes his Irish background means his better equipped to deal with the potential pitfalls of fame because his family and friends keep him grounded.
During an appearance on Irish TV programme the ‘Late Late Show’ which will air on Friday (02.09.16) he told host Ryan Tubridy: "The fame aspect that comes with being a working actor does not intrigue me in the slightest. I think something like being Irish helps, and my friends. There’s just no allowance for it … in your life, no matter what happens or how much notoriety you gain through your work, the fundamentals of your life don’t change.
"I hope not. Your wife, your kids, your family and your friends, all that stuff, the stuff that makes you, doesn’t change. On nights like when you go to a premiere and it all seems crazy, it’s all very heightened but every day is totally normal. It’s just a job, you go to work and do your job and then that’s it."
Dornan is married to English actress and singer/songwriter Amelia Warner and the couple have two daughters together.
