James Jordan’s father has tested positive for coronavirus.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro revealed his dad – who was recently hospitalised following a stroke – urged his followers to follow the rules and stay at home amid the ongoing pandemic.
He tweeted: "Just when you think things couldn’t get any worse!
"After being in hospital for nearly 2 weeks after his stroke my dad has now tested positive to coronavirus
"He is also fighting an infection he recently got in his arm (Cellulitis)… God, please give my dad a break
"StayAtHome (sic)"
The dancer – who is married to fellow star Ola Jordan – later described his dad as his "hero", and revealed he’s more concerned about his family than his own health.
James added: "My dad has always been my hero… When I spoke to him he was more worried about my mum, sister & family He kept saying " Don’t worry about me, I’ve got this"
"The sad thing is today he was supposed to be transferred to another hospital where he would have a TV… He was so excited (sic)"
James turned 41 on Monday (13.04.20), but he insisted he wouldn’t be celebrating until his dad was out of hospital.
He wrote: "Thank you for all the lovely Birthday messages, it means a lot
"It’s an amazing feeling having my 1st Birthday as a father
"BUT, with my dad still I’ll in hospital I will wait to celebrate
"You can all imagine what my Birthday wish is this year (sic)"
James and Ola became parents for the first time in February when they welcomed a baby girl into the world.
The new mum wrote on Twitter: "She’s here and she is perfect #Mummy (sic)"
Her husband added: "I’m the happiest man in the world #daddy (sic)"
