James Corden won’t leave A League of Their Own

James Corden will continue to host ‘A League of Their Own’.

The 36-year-old comedian – who was recently announced as the replacement for Craig Ferguson on ‘The Late Late Show’ in the United States – won’t be leaving the popular Sky 1 sports quiz any time soon as he has already signed up for three more series.

A spokesman for the channel said: "James is already committed to the next three series of ‘A League Of Their Own’ and he’s looking forward to his ongoing participation in the programme."

The ‘Gavin and Stacey’ star is believed to have signed a $5 million-a-year contract to replace the 52-year-old Scot on the late night talk show at the beginning of 2015 .

James – who has already started viewing properties across the pond with his wife Julia and their three-year-old son Max ahead of the move next year – said he was "honoured" to have been offered the role and can’t wait to start filming.

He said: "I can’t describe how thrilled and honoured I am to be taking over from the brilliant Craig Ferguson.

"To be asked to host such a prestigious show on America’s number one network is hugely exciting.

"I can’t wait to get started, and will do my very best to make a show America will enjoy."
