James Corden is reportedly in talks to star in a film based on Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit.
The actor-turned-TV host is wanted to voice the titular character alongside Rose Byrne, who is also in discussions about starring in the movie, which will be a hybrid of live action and animation.
The film is set to be directed by Will Gluck, whose credits include ‘Easy A’ and ‘Annie’, and will be a contemporary take on the iconic literary character, according to The Guardian newspaper.
Although he found fame as an actor, James has since carved out a successful presenting career on both sides of the Atlantic, fronting ‘The Late Late Show’ in the US.
Indeed, Britney Spears is reportedly set to join James on Carpool Karaoke for a drive-along sing-along on his programme.
The blonde beauty is believed to be the next big star to join the ‘Late Late Show’ host on the popular segment on his hit US show.
Britney is reportedly keen to do the segment to promote her upcoming new album ‘Glory’, which is her first LP since 2013’s ‘Britney Jean’ and is released later this month.
The ‘Make Me’ hitmaker will follow in the footsteps of Justin Bieber, Adele, Sir Elton John and Stevie Wonder in sharing a car journey with the TV host.
